We weren’t chasing a specific destination, just exploring backroads near Vail, Colorado, when the trail opened into this view. Late-day light poured across the evergreens and caught the snow still clinging to the peaks. The sky was calm, the mountains looked unreal and for a few minutes it felt like we’d stumbled into a scene that wasn’t supposed to be on the map. Those are the moments that make overlanding addictive.
